Virtual Fields
Use the Virtual Fields tab to add or view virtual fields that have been added to the selected query.
To open the Virtual Fields tab, click a Query Name or the Need to create a new query? Click here to add link on the Data Miner screen.
The fields on the Virtual Fields tab are:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Field | The name of the selected virtual field. |
| Expression | A brief description of the calculation used to calculate the cell values of the selected virtual field. |
| Length | The maximum number of characters that can be displayed in the cell values of the selected virtual field. |
| Decimals | The maximum number of decimal characters that can be displayed in the cell values of the selected virtual field. |
Click a Field name to view or edit the selected virtual field properties in the Edit Virtual Field screen.
Click the Click to add field link to add a new virtual field to the query.
Use these buttons to complete your work on the Virtual Fields tab:
| Button | Description |
|---|---|
| Run Report | Generates the report for the selected query. |
| Share | Opens the Upload Query to Data Miner Repository screen to upload the selected query to the Data Miner Repository. This button only appears if the Upload Queries to Data Miner Repository switch is activated in security system 505. |
| Clear | Deletes all the virtual fields that have been added to query. |
| Close | Closes the Virtual Fields tab without saving any changes. |
