Add A Branch

To open the Add A Branch screen, click the Add A Branch link on the Utilities list of the Configuration Quick Links screen.

Note:  The Add A Branch scree is password protected within IntelliDealer. If you do not have access to the screen, contact your system administrator.

The Add A Branch screen allows you to add a new dealership branch by copying the settings from an existing company, division and branch.

The following fields appear on the Add A Branch screen:

Field Description
Copy From Company The company from which to copy the company level settings for the new branch.
Copy From Division The division from which to copy the division level settings for the new branch.
Copy From Branch The branch from which to copy the branch level settings for the new branch.
Add To Company The company number of the new branch.
Add To Division The division number of the new branch.
Add To Branch The branch number of the new branch.
Copy vendor GL parts?

This will copy parts with the vendor "GL" to the new branch. The new branch must be in the same company and division.

If parts are copied, a confirmation will be displaying showing the number of parts added and the number not added.

There are three options:

  • Copy configured GL parts - Copy only parts that are configured in tables like deposit, freight and miscellaneous charges.
  • Copy all GL parts - Copies all active parts with vendor "GL".
  • Don't copy GL parts - Don't copy any parts.

The following buttons allow you to complete your work on the Add A Branch screen:

Button Function
Submit Creates the new branch using the settings from the company, division and branch entered in the Copy From fields.
Close Closes the Add A Branch screen without adding the new branch.
