Configuration: Cost Code Updates
Use the Cost Code Updates screen to edit a cost code update or add a cost code update.
To open the Cost Code Updates screen, navigate to Configuration > Parts > Costing > Cost Code Updates.
Screen Description
The fields on the Cost Code Updates screen are:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Location | The branch location of the cost code. |
| Cost Code | The cost code the values will apply to when setting up costing factors on the Cost Code Order Creation screen. |
| Order Type | The order type code of the selected cost code. |
| Cost Code Type | Whether the cost code is either order creation or order update. |
| Currency Code | The currency code, type of funds (e.g. Canadian funds). |
| Invert Currency Rate |
Allows you to automatically convert one currency to another by converting the current currency code to the currency code loaded on the vendor's Profile. |
| Discount % | The discount value for the cost code. |
| Duty | The duty value for the cost code. |
| Freight | The freight value for the cost code. |
| Other | Any other costs that apply to the cost code. |
| Factor | If applicable, the cost code's factor charge percentage. |
The buttons completes work on the Cost Code Updates screen are:

| Save | Saves changes made to the Cost Code Updates screen. |
| Save & New |
Saves a newly added cost code and refreshes the Cost Code Updates screen, allowing you to add another cost code without closing the screen. This button appears only by accessing the Cost Code Updates screen by clicking the Need to create a new cost code? Click here to add link. |
| Save & Next |
Allows you to save any edits/changes made to the selected cost code and scroll through to the next cost code in the list to apply any edits/changes. This button appears only by accessing the Cost Code Updates screen by clicking on a Cost Code. |
| Delete |
Deletes the selected cost code update from the system. This button appears only by accessing the Cost Code Updates screen by clicking on a Cost Code. |
| Close | Closes the Cost Code Updates screen without saving and returns to the Cost Codes Update screen. |
