Configuration: Reasons

Use the Reasons screen allows you to define the call reasons that can be used when making calls to customers. Once a code is defined on this screen, it can be used as a valid call reason code used to record the calls made to a customer. Valid call reason codes will appear on the Select Reason screen accessed by clicking on the Search icon next to the Select Reason field.

To open the Reasons screen, navigate to Configuration > CRM > Calls > Reasons.

Adding a Call Reason

  1. From anywhere in IntelliDealer screen, navigate to Configuration > CRM > Calls > Reasons.

  2. Click Need to create a new reason? Click here to add link.

  3. On the Results screen, enter a call result Code and Description.
  4. Select which categories are authorized to use the call reason code by selecting a radio button on the Authorized Categories field.

    • All: Authorizes all categories to use the selected call reason code.

    • Select: Gives authorization to the categories selected.

  5. Click the Save button to save the new call reason code and return to the Reasons screen.

    – or –

    Click the Save & New button to save the new call reason code. The Reasons screen refreshes, allowing you to add another call reason without closing the screen.

Deactivating a Call Reason

  1. On the Reasons screen, fill out the appropriate field and click the Go >> link.

  2. Click Code.

  3. Select the Active for System checkbox, removing the checkmark.

  4. Click the Save button to deactivate the call reason code within the system.

Screen Description

The sorting options the Reasons screen are:

Sort by
Field Description
Code Sort the search results by reason code.
Description Sort the search results by reason code description.

The search fields on the Reasons screen are:

Field Description
Select Code Search for a reason code by entering a reason code.
Select Description Search for a reason code by entering a reason code description.
Include Inactive If selected, includes inactive reason codes in the search results.

The fields on the Reasons screen are:

Field Description
Code The call reason code.
Description A brief description of the call reason code.
