Configuration: Categories

Use the Categories screen to define call categories within the system. Defined codes classify customer calls and appear as options in the Area of Interest drop down list on the Schedule a Call screen in the Customer Profile system application.

To open the Categories screen, navigate to Configuration > CRM > Calls > Categories.

Adding a Call Category

  1. From anywhere in IntelliDealer screen, navigate to Configuration > CRM > Calls > Categories.

  2. Click Need to create a new category? Click here to add link.

  3. On the Categories screen, enter a call category Code, provide a Description, and select the Equipment Sales button if the category relates to equipment sales.

  4. Click the Save button to save the new category code and return to the Categoriesscreen, or click Save & New to save and add another category code.

    The Categories screen will refresh allowing you to add another call category without closing the screen.

Deactivating a Call Category

  1. From anywhere in IntelliDealer screen, navigate to Configuration > CRM > Calls > Categories.

  2. Fill out the appropriate field and click the Go >> link.

  3. Click on a Code.

  4. Select the Active for System checkbox, removing the checkmark.

  5. Click the Save button to deactivate the call category code within the system.

Screen Description

Sorting options on the Categoriesscreen include:

Sort by
Field Description
Code Sort the search results by category code.
Description Sort the search results by category code description.

Search fields on the Categories screen include:

Field Description
Select Code Search for call categories by entering a call category code.
Select Description Search for call categories by entering a call category description.
Include Inactive If selected, includes inactive call categories in the search results.

The fields on the Categories screen are:

Field Description
Code The code representing the call category throughout the system.
Description A brief description of the call category.
