Configuration: Downtime Delay Code

Use the Downtime Delay Code screen to add a downtime delay code, edit a downtime delay code, and view downtime delay codes. Downtime Delay codes are used on a work order to indicate why a segment has been delayed and can be used for selecting and reporting purposes. Downtime Delay codes added to the system appear on the Work Order DDC screen and can be used as a valid downtime delay code on work orders. The Work Order DDC screen is accessed by clicking the Search icon next to any searchable DDC field.

To open the Downtime Delay Code screen, navigate to Configuration > Service > Work Orders > Downtime Delay Code.

Adding a Downtime Delay Code

  1. Navigate to Configuration > Service > Work Orders > Downtime Delay Code.

  2. Click the Need to add a downtime delay code? Click here to add link.

  3. On the Downtime Delay Codes screen, enter a downtime delay Code.

  4. Enter a downtime delay code Description.

  5. Click Save to save the new downtime delay code and return to the Downtime Delay Codes screen.

    Click Save & New to save the new downtime delay code. The Downtime Delay Codes screen refreshes allowing you to add another downtime delay code without closing the screen.

Deactivating a Downtime Delay Code

  1. Navigate to Configuration > Service > Work Orders > Downtime Delay Code.

  2. Fill out the appropriate fields and click Go >>.

  3. Click a Code.

  4. Clear the Active for Equipment checkbox.

  5. Click Save to deactivate the downtime delay code.

The sorting options on the Downtime Delay Code screen are:

Sort by
Field Description
Code Sort the search results by downtime delay code.
Description Sort the search results by downtime delay code description.

The search fields on the Downtime Delay Code screen are:

Field Description
Select Code Search for downtime delay code by entering a downtime delay code.
Select Description Search for downtime delay code by entering a downtime delay code description.
Include Inactive If selected, includes inactive downtime delay codes in the search results.

The fields on the Downtime Delay Code screen are:

Field Description
Code The downtime delay code which indicates the reason for the segment's delay.
Description A brief description of the downtime delay code.
