Traffic Questions and Answers
Question:
What is the difference between comp/auth pay and received statuses in traffic?
Answer:
The only difference between the comp/auth pay and received status is that the comp/auth pay prompts for a shipping charge. The actual shipping charge amount is stored in the DRACT field in the CGIDR file for reporting. Other than that, they function the same. Note: As of IntelliDealer 3.0 we will have a report of Completed/Auth to pay like the green screen option. I idea behind this function was to have another status that the dealer could use to authorize to pay the trucker. Some dealers will get the trucker, to get a signed copy of the delivery receipt as proof of delivery.
Question:
Why is it that when you reverse a traffic ticket that had stock number add ons, that it doesn't include that add ons on the reversal traffic ticket?
Answer:
If you reverse the ticket before it becomes received or completed, then the addons will still be there, connected to the main ticket, and they will also get properly reversed.
Addons are split off onto their own traffic tickets when the original ticket is received or completed, so that there can be a proper audit trail, and consequently, aren't on the original ticket anymore to reverse, if they do the reverse too late.
So, if you want to reverse a ticket with addons, you must do it before receiving or completing. The user should get into the habit of reversing a ticket as soon as they add it, if they know it needs to be reversed.
Insight 2.0 changes to make the tickets consistent in what gets printed.
We realized we had some inconsistencies in the traffic overlay and the specific addresses we were using so here is what was changed for the Insight 2.0 release to get this in sync with a more consistent approach. The traffic upper address value will now be the To: and the bottom address value will now be the From: ( We struggled a bit with the labels and did not want to use Ship to as that might confuse people that this is the ship to address, were this area could actually contain the ship to, job-site, dealer location. The customer address will of course use the job-site if selected or the ship to or will default to the sold to if neither job-site or ship to are utilized. There were no changes to the Inbound ticket types
