Rates

To open the Rates screen, click a Rate Code or the Need to create a new rate code? Click here to add link on the Rates screen.
The Rates screen allows you to add new rate codes or edit existing rate codes.
The following fields appear on the Rates screen:
| Field | Description |

| Rate Code | A two character alphanumeric code used to represent the rate code within the system. |
| Description | A brief description of the rate code. |
| Labor Rate | The rate per hour charged when is rate code is specified. |
| Job Code Hours Multiplier |
The associated job code hours is multiplied by the factor entered in this field when using the corresponding rate code. The factor is used to calculate the hours and price the customer will be charged. Note: The Print Flat Rate or Actual Hours security switch in the legacy table CMBR must be set up accordingly in order for the job code hours to print on a work order. Note: As of IntelliDealer Insight 1.0, this value will no longer be printed on invoices/ quotes. |
| Valid For Type |
The selected rate code will only be valid for works orders that utilize the Type Code(s) specified in this field. For example, if rate code XX is made valid for work order types AA and BB, XX will only appear as an option on the Select Rate Code screen for work orders that use type codes AA or BB. Note: You can associate each rate code with up to 25 different types by clicking the Plus icon next to this field, however, if left blank, the selected rate code will be valid for all type codes configured at the dealership. |
| Active for System |
Controls whether the rate code is active for use within the system.
Note: This field appears only by accessing the Rates screen by clicking on a Rate Code. |
The following buttons allow you to complete your work on the Rates screen:

| Save | Saves changes made on the Rates screen. |
| Save & New |
Saves a newly added rate code and refreshes the Rates screen, allowing you to add another rate code without closing the screen. Note: This button appears only by accessing the Rates screen by clicking the Need to create a new rate code? Click here to add link. |
| Save & Next |
Allows you to save any edits/changes made to the selected rate code and scroll through to the next rate code in the list to apply any edits/changes. Note:

| Copy |
Copies the selected Rate code. Note: This button appears only by accessing the Rates screen by clicking on a Rate Code. |
| Close | Closes the Rates screen without saving and returns to the Rates screen. |
