Types

To open the Types screen, click a Code or the Need to create a new type? Click here to add link on the Types screen.

The Types screen allows you to add a new type code to the parts profile system or maintain an existing type code.

The following fields appear on the Types screen:

Field Description
Code A two character alphanumeric code used to define the type codes within the parts profile system.
Vendor Number The vendor number the type code is set up as a valid type code to define parts within the parts profile system.
Location The branch location the type code is currently used as a valid type code.
Description A brief description of the type code.
Active for System

Controls whether the parts type code is active for use within the system.

  • Selected: Activates or reactivates the parts type code within the system

  • Not Selected: Indicates that the parts type code is deactivated within the system.

Note:  This field only appears when accessing the Types screen by selecting a Code.

The following buttons allow you to complete your work on the Types screen:

Button Function
Save Saves changes made to the Types screen.
Copy

Copies the selected type code.

Note:  This button appears only by accessing the Types screen by clicking on a Code.
Save & New

Saves a newly added type code and refreshes the Types screen, allowing you to add another type code without closing the screen.

Save & Next

Allows you to save any edits/changes made to the selected type code and scroll through to the next type code in the list to apply any edits/changes.

Note:  This button appears only by accessing the Types screen by clicking on a Code.
Close Closes the Types screen without saving changes and returns to the Types screen.
