Configuration: Types
Use the Typesscreen to add a new type code to the parts profile system or maintain an existing type code.
To open the Types screen, navigate to Configuration > Parts > Profile > Type.
Screen Description
The fields on the Types screen are:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Code | A two character alphanumeric code used to define the type codes within the parts profile system. |
| Vendor Number | The vendor number the type code is set up as a valid type code to define parts within the parts profile system. |
| Location | The location the type code is currently used as a valid type code. |
| Description | A brief description of the type code. |
| Active for System |
Controls whether the parts type code is active for use within the system.

Use these buttons to complete your work on the Types screen:
| Button | Function |
|---|---|
| Save | Saves changes made to the Types screen. |
| Copy |
Copies the selected type code. This button appears only by accessing the Types screen by clicking on a Code. |
| Save & New |
Saves a newly added type code and refreshes the Types screen, allowing you to add another type code without closing the screen. This button appears only by accessing the Types screen by clicking the Need to create a new type? Click here to add link. |
| Save & Next |
Allows you to save any edits/changes made to the selected type code and scroll through to the next type code in the list to apply any edits/changes. This button appears only by accessing the Types screen by clicking on a Code. |
| Close | Closes the Types screen without saving changes and returns to the Types screen. |
