Return Codes

To open the Return Codes screen, hover over the Configuration link from anywhere within IntelliDealer and select Parts> Profile> Return Codes from the drop down list.

The Return Codes screen allows you to setup parts return codes for use within the parts system. Valid return codes are setup on Return field on the Parts Profile tab. Return codes mark as non - returnable are used to drive the Non - Returnable Parts Highlighting feature on the Parts Highlighting screen. Return codes marked as Returnable or Last Year will appear on the Return Code field on the Surplus Returns screen.

The following sorting options appear on the Return Codes screen:

Field Description
Return Code Sort the search results by return code.
Vendor Number Sort the search results by vendor number.
Returnable Sort the search results by return codes marked as returnable.
Description Sort the search results by return code description.

The following search fields appear on the Return Codes screen:

Field Description
Select Return Code Search for a return code by entering a return code.
Select Vendor Number Search for a return code by entering a vendor number.
Select Return Type

Search for a return code by entering a return type.

  • All: Searches for all return code types.

  • Returnable: Searches only for return codes marked as returnable.

  • Non-returnable: Searches only for return codes marked as non-returnable.

  • Last Year: Searches only for return codes marked as last year.

Select Description Search for a return code by entering a return code description.

The following fields appear on the Return Codes screen:

Field Description
Return Code A one digit alphanumeric return code used to represent the returnable state of the part throughout the parts system.
Returnable

Indicates whether or not the part is:

  • Returnable: The part can be returned.

  • Non-returnable: The part cannot be returned.

  • Last Year: The part can be returned before the end of the year. The following year the part can no longer be returned.

Vendor Number

Indicates the vendor number the return code is associated with.

Description A brief description of the return code.

Click on a Return Code to edit an existing return code.

Close Closes the Return Codes screen and returns to the Configuration Quick Links screen.
