Source of Supply

To open the Source of Supply screen, click a Code or the Need to create a new source of supply? Click here to add link on the Types screen.
The Source of Supply screen allows you to add a new source of supply code to the parts profile system or maintain an existing source of supply code.
The following fields appear on the Source of Supply screen:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Code | A two character alphanumeric code used to define the source of supply code within the parts profile system. |
| Vendor Number | The vendor number the source of supply code is set up as a valid source of supply code to define parts within the parts profile system. |
| Location | The branch location where the source of supply code is currently used as a valid source of supply code. |
| Description | A brief description of the source of supply code. |
| Active for System |
Controls whether the source of supply code is active for use within the system.
Note: This field only appears when accessing the Source of Supply screen by selecting a Code. |
The following buttons allow you to complete your work on the Source of Supply screen:
| Button | Function |
|---|---|
| Save | Saves changes made on the Source of Supply screen. |
| Copy |
Copies the selected source of supply code. Note: This button appears only by accessing the Source of Supply screen by clicking on a Code. |
| Save & New |
Saves a newly added source of supply code and refreshes the Source of Supply screen, allowing you to add another source of supply code without closing the screen. Note: This button appears only by accessing the Source of Supply screen by clicking the Need to create a new source of supply? Click here to add link. |
| Save & Next |
Allows you to save any edits\changes made to the selected source of supply code and scroll through to the next source of supply code in the list to apply any edits/changes. Note: This button appears only by accessing the Source of Supply screen by clicking on a Code. |
| Close | Closes the Source of Supply screen without saving and returns to the Source of Supply screen. |
