Return Codes

To open the Return Codes screen, click a Return Code or the Need to create a new return code? Click here to add link on the Returns Codes screen.

The Return Codes screen allows you to add a new return code or edit an existing return code.

The following fields appear on the Return Codes screen:

Field Description
Return Code A one digit alphanumeric return code used to represent the code throughout the parts system.
Vendor Number Indicates the vendor number the return code is associated with.
Return Type

Indicates whether or not the part is:

  • Returnable: The part can be returned.

  • Non-returnable: The part cannot be returned.

  • Last Year: The part can be returned before the end of the year.The following year the part can no longer be returned.

Description A brief description of the return code.

The following buttons allow you to complete your work on the Return Codes screen:

Button Function
Save Saves changes made on the Return Codes screen.
Copy

Creates a copy of the return code.

Note:  This button appears only by accessing the Return Codes screen by clicking on a Return Code.

Save & New

Saves a newly added return code and refreshes the Return Codes screen, allowing you to add another return code without closing the screen.

Save & Next

Allows you to save any edits\changes made to the selected return code and scroll through to the next return code in the list to apply any edits/changes.

Note:  This button appears only by accessing the Return Codes screen by clicking on a Return Code.

Delete

Deletes the selected return code from the list.

Note:  This button appears only by accessing the Return Codes screen by clicking on a Return Code.

Close Closes the Return Codes screen without saving and returns to the Return Codes screen.
