Configuration: Classes

Use the Classes screen to add class codes or edit existing class codes. If the Class field on the Part Adds screen is selected, the Class field on the Part Profile tab is validated against the values on this screen.

To open the Classes screen, navigate to Configuration > Parts > Profile > Classes.

Screen Description

The fields appear on the Classes screen are:

Field Description
Code A three-character alphanumeric code that represents a parts class throughout the Parts system.
Vendor Number The vendor number the class code is associated with.
Location

The location where the selected class code is a valid class code within the Parts system.

Description A brief description of the class code.
Active For System

Controls whether the class code is active for use within the system.

  • Selected: Activates or reactivates the class code within the system.
  • Not Selected: Indicates that the class code is deactivated within the system.
This field only appears when accessing the Classesscreen by selecting a Code.

Use these buttons to complete your work on the Classes screen:

Button Function
Save Saves changes made on the Classes screen.
Copy

Copies the selected class code.

This button appears only by accessing the Classes screen by clicking on a Code.
Save & New

Saves a newly added class code and refreshes the Classes screen, allowing you to add another class code without closing the screen.

Save & Next

Saves any edits\changes made to the selected class code and scrolls through to the next class code in the list to apply any edits/changes.

This button appears only by accessing the Classes screen by clicking on a Code.
Close Closes the Classes screen without saving and returns to the Classes screen.
