Margin Programs - Listing Screen
The Margin Programs screen lists configured margin programs, which can be applied to equipment quotes so that the dealer can receive a discount from the manufacturer based on a percentage of the unit's original manufacturer's cost, or a fixed amount.
To open the Margin Programs screen, navigate to Configuration > Equipment > General > Margin Programs.
To edit an existing margin program, click the program Description.
To create a new margin program, click the Need to add a Program? Click here to add link.
The search fields on the Margin Programs screen are:

Search for a margin program by description. |
| Include Inactive | Select whether to include inactive margin programs in the search results. |
| Select Location |
Search for a margin program by the location that it applies to. |
The fields on the Margin Programs screen are:

| Description | A brief description of the margin program. |
| Location | The location that the margin program applies to. |
| Program Code | The unique identifier for the selected margin program. |
| Percentage |
The percentage of the original manufacturer's cost of the unit(s) on the segment to be discounted from the Total Cost of the segment, when applying the selected margin program to a quote. The program %, if used, is calculated off of the Equipment Profile's Invoice Amount field, not the Current Cost, Net Book Value OR the Sale Price. |
| Amount | The dollar amount that to be discounted from the Total Cost of the segment when applying the selected margin program to a quote. |
| Type | The type of equipment that must be on the segment in order for the margin program to be applied; either New, Used, or Both. |
| Class |
The class of equipment that must be on the segment in order for the margin program to be applied. |
Click Close to complete your work on the Margin Programs screen.
