Margin User Levels

The Margin User Levels screen allows you to configure the margin ranges that each Level 1 and 2 manager can approve or edit on the Margin Worksheet screen.

To open the Margin User Levels screen, navigate to Configuration > Equipment > General > Margin User Levels.

Configuring Margin User Levels

Prerequisites: You must configure the user's manager level using the Margin Worksheet Area field of the User Profiles screen.

  1. From anywhere in IntelliDealer, navigate to Configuration > Equipment > General > Margin User Levels.

  2. Enter or select the user you want to configure in the User field.

    When using the Search icon to select the user, only users that have been configured as managers will appear on the User Selection screen.

  3. In the Type field, select the type of equipment that must be on the quote in order for the selected user to review the corresponding margin worksheet.

    For quotes with multiple segments, the system only checks the Type of the unit on the first segment of the quote.

  4. (OPTIONAL) In the Class field, enter or select the equipment class that must be on the quote in for the selected user to review the corresponding margin worksheet.

    For quotes with multiple segments, the system only checks the Class of the unit on the first segment of the quote.

  5. In the Margin From field, enter the lowest possible margin percentage that the selected user may approve.

    Tip: To ensure that all margin ranges are covered, this percentage should be no more than 0.001 percent higher than the next closest margin range. For example, if User A has a margin range of 1.000 to 10.000, then User B should have a margin range that begins no higher than 10.001 percent.

  6. In the Margin To field, enter the highest possible margin percentage that the selected user may approve.

  7. Click Save to save your configurations.

Screen Description

The fields on the Margin User Levels screen are:

Field Description
User The user id of the manager.
Manager Level The manager level of the selected user, as configured in the Margin Worksheet Area field of the User Profiles screen.
Type

The type of equipment that this User can approve on the corresponding margin worksheet; either New, Used or Both.

For quotes with multiple segments, the system only checks the Type of the unit on the first segment of the quote.
Class

The class of equipment that this user on the corresponding margin worksheet.

For quotes with multiple segments, the system only checks the Class of the unit on the first segment of the quote.
Margin From The lowest margin level percentage that the selected user can approve.
Margin To The highest margin level percentage that the selected user can approve.

To delete a user and their margin level configurations, click the Trash icon next to the desired user profile.

Use these buttons to complete your work on the Margin User Levels screen:

Button Function
Save Saves the changes made on the Margin User Levels screen.
Save & Close Saves the changes made on the Margin User Levels screen and returns to the Configuration Quick Links screen.
Close Closes the Margin User Levels screen without saving any changes.
