Configuration: Classes
Use the Classes screen to add new equipment class codes or maintain existing equipment class codes.
To open the Classes screen, navigate to Configuration > Equipment > Profile > Classes.
Screen Description
The fields on the Classes screen are:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Code | A two digit alphanumeric code representing an equipment class code throughout the equipment application. |
| Description | A brief description of the equipment class code. |
| Active for System |
Controls whether the equipment class code will be active for use within the system.

Use these buttons to complete your work on Classes screen:
| Button | Function |
|---|---|
| Save | Saves changes made to the Classes screen. |
| Save & New |
Saves a newly added equipment class code and refreshes the Classes screen allowing you to add another equipment class code without closing the screen. This button appears only by accessing the Classes screen by clicking the Need to create a new class? Click here to add link. |
| Save & Next |
Allows you to save any edits/changes made to the selected equipment class code and scroll through to the next equipment class code in the list to apply any edits/changes. This button appears only by accessing the Classes screen by clicking on a Code. |
| Copy |
Copies the selected equipment class code. This button appears only by accessing the Classes screen by clicking on a Code. |
| Close | Closes the Classes screen without saving and returns to the Classes screen. |
