Classes

The Classes screen can be accessed from the Classes screen by either clicking on a Code or by selecting the Need to create a new class? Click here to add link.

The Classes screen allows you to add new equipment class codes or maintain existing equipment class codes.

The following is a description of the fields that appear on the Classes screen:

Field Description
Code A two digit alphanumeric code representing an equipment class code throughout the equipment application.
Description A brief description of the equipment class code.
Active for System

Controls whether the equipment class code will be active for use within the system.

  • Selected: Activates or reactivates the equipment class code within the system.

  • Not Selected: Indicates that the equipment class code is deactivated within the system.

Note:  

This field appears only by accessing the Classes screen by clicking on a Code.

The following buttons allow you to complete your work on the Classes screen:

Button Function
Save Saves changes made to the Classes screen.
Save & New

Saves a newly added equipment class code and refreshes the Classes screen allowing you to add another equipment class code without closing the screen.

Save & Next

Allows you to save any edits/changes made to the selected equipment class code and scroll through to the next equipment class code in the list to apply any edits/changes.

Copy

Copies the selected equipment class code.

Note:  
This button appears only by accessing the Classes screen by clicking on a Code.
Close Closes the Classes screen without saving and returns to the Classes screen.
