Alert Types

Data Source: ALRTYP

To open the Alert Types screen, click the Search icon on the Alerts screen.
-or-
Click a location on the Location Selection screen when creating a new alert message.

The Alert Types screen allows you to select a specific alert type to create or enter into the desired field.

Note:  For more information about each alert type, see the Alert Type Overview topic.

The following search fields appear on the Alert Types screen:

Field	Description
Select Audience	Search for an alert type by selecting the intended audience.
Select Staging	Search for an alert type by selecting when the alert has been configured to be sent.
Select Area	Search for an alert type by selecting the business area that the alert applies to.
Select Alert	Search for an alert type by entering an alert name.

The following fields appear on the Alert Types screen:

Field	Description
Alert	A brief description of the alert type.
Audience	Indicates whether the selected alert type can be sent exclusively to dealership employees (Internal) or to customers as well (External).
Staging	The manner in which the message associated to the alert type will be deployed to recipients; either immediately following the alert triggers (Immediate), or during a database or day end run (Batched).
Area	The business area associated to the selected alert type.
