Warranty Subtype Codes

Data Source: TBWCCT

These codes can be used to identify subtypes of equipment warranties. Valid warranty subtype codes added to the system appear on the Warranty Subtype screen, accessed by clicking on the Search icon next to the Warranty Subtype field throughout the system.

You can access the Warranty Subtype Codes by navigating to: Configuration > Equipment> Profile> Classifications.

How to Add a Warranty Subtype Code

  1. Click the Need to add a warranty subtype? Click here to add link.
    The Warranty Subtype Code modal opens.

  2. On the Warranty Subtype Code modal, enter a Code and Description.

  3. Click one of these buttons:

    • Save to save the new warranty subtype code and close the modal.

    • Save & New to save the warranty subtype code and enter another.

    • Close to close the modal.

How to Modify a Warranty Subtype Code

  1. On the Warranty Type Codes screen, search for a code by filling out the appropriate fields and clicking the Go >> link.
    The Warranty Type Codes screen refreshes listing the generated search results.


  2. Click on a Code.
    The Warranty Subtype Code modal appears.

  3. Edit any of the available fields within the selected warranty subtype code.

  4. Click one of these buttons:

    • Save to save any changes made to the code.

    • Copy to copy this code. You can then make edits to it. You cannot save the copy until the Code has been altered to be unique.

    • Save & Next to save any changes made to the code and continue to the next code on the list without closing the modal.

    • Delete to delete the current code. The Confirmation screen appears. Click Yes if you are sure you want to delete the code.

    • Close to close the modal without saving.

Warranty Subtype Codes Screen Description

The sorting options available on the Warranty SubType Codes screen are:

Field Description
Code Sorts the search results by warranty subtype code.
Description Sorts the search results by warranty subtype code description.

The search fields on the Warranty Subtype Codes screen:

Field Description
Select Code Search for warranty subtype code by entering a warranty subtype code.
Select Description Search for warranty subtype code by entering a warranty subtype code description.

The fields on the Warranty Subtype Codes screen are:

Field Description
Code A two character alphanumeric code that represents the warranty subtype code within the equipment module. Used to identify the coverage of the warranty.
Description A brief description of the warranty subtype code.
