Warranty Type Codes

Data Source: CGIWDT, PFWTAB

These codes can be used to identify the type of warrant a piece of equipment is under. Valid warranty type codes added to the system appear on the Warranty Type screen, accessed by clicking on the Search icon next to the Warranty Type field throughout the system.

You can access the Warranty Type Codes by navigating to: Configuration > Equipment> Profile> Classifications.

How to Add a Warranty Type Code

  1. Click the Need to add a warranty type? Click here to add link.
    The Warranty Type Code modal opens.

  2. On the Warranty Type Code modal, enter a Code and Description.

  3. Click one of these buttons:

    • Save to save the new warranty type code and close the modal.

    • Save & New to save the warranty type code and enter another.

    • Close to close the modal.

How to Modify a Warranty Type Code

  1. On the Warranty Type Codes screen, search for a code by filling out the appropriate fields and clicking the Go >> link.
    The Warranty Type Codes screen refreshes listing the generated search results.



  2. Click on a Code.
    The Warranty Type Code modal appears.

  3. Edit any of the available fields within the selected warranty type code.

  4. Click one of these buttons:

    • Save to save any changes made to the code.

    • Copy to copy this code. You can then make edits to it. You cannot save the copy until the Code has been altered to be unique.

    • Save & Next to save any changes made to the code and continue to the next code on the list without closing the modal.

    • Delete to delete the current code. The Confirmation screen appears. Click Yes if you are sure you want to delete the code.

    • Close to close the modal without saving.

Warranty Type Codes Screen Description

The sorting options available on the Warranty Type Codes screen are:

Field Description
Code Sorts the search results by warranty type code.
Description Sorts the search results by warranty type code description.

The search fields on the Warranty Type Codes screen are:

Field Description
Select Code Search for warranty type code by entering a warranty type code.
Select Description Search for warranty type code by entering a warranty type code description.

The fields on the Warranty Type Codes screen are:

Field Description
Code

A two character alphanumeric code representing the warranty type code throughout the equipment module. Used to identify the coverage of the warranty.
Description A brief description of the warranty type code.
