CNH: Credentials

Use the Credentials screen to enter and maintain the sign-in values IntelliDealer uses to authenticate with each CNH interface. The screen lists one row per interface; you provide the User ID, Password, and Subscription Key issued by CNH for that interface.

To access the Credentials screen, navigate to Configuration > Interfaces > CNH > Credentials.

Fields on the Credentials Screen

The fields on the Credentials screen are:

Field Description
Interface The CNH interface that the row applies to. Each interface is configured independently. Possible interfaces are DEP, CSPS, eWarranty Claim Submission, eWarranty Vehicle Lookup, and eQuipment. See CNH Interfaces for a description of each.
User ID The dealer-specific user identifier issued by CNH for the selected interface. CNH provides the User ID during onboarding for each interface the dealership licenses. The same User ID may apply to more than one interface (for example, the eWarranty Claim Submission and eWarranty Vehicle Lookup interfaces typically share credentials), but each interface row must be filled in for that interface to authenticate successfully.
Password The password paired with the User ID for the selected interface. The password is masked on screen. If a password expires or is reset by CNH, update it here so the interface can continue to communicate with CNH. For eWarranty, you can also request a new password from CNH on the eWarranty Vehicle Lookup configuration screen.
Subscription Key The API subscription key issued by CNH that authorizes IntelliDealer to call the CNH API endpoints for the selected interface. The Subscription Key is required in addition to the User ID and Password, and is unique per interface. Obtain the Subscription Key from CNH during the onboarding process for that interface.

CNH Interfaces

The Credentials screen accounts for the following CNH interfaces. Each interface requires its own row of credentials before its related configuration and runtime features can be used.

Interface Description
eQuipment Credentials for the CNH eQuipment, Wholesale Quotes, and Retail Offers interface. IntelliDealer uses these credentials to create wholesale-quotes and sales-orders in real time, and to run the nightly task that creates and updates Equipment Profile stock numbers with on-order and invoicing information from CNH. The User ID must be authorized by CNH for eQuipment access.
DEP Credentials for the CNH Data Exchange Platform. The DEP credentials authorize work order transmits, historical work order data transmits, Point of Sale (PoS) parts and whole goods invoice transmits, the My Fleet brand defaults, and the DEP-side eWarranty PIP/PPP search. The User ID must have access to eWarranty as part of DEP enablement.
CSPS Credentials for the CNH Common Spare Parts Systems (CSPS) interface. CSPS lets Case and New Holland dealers communicate with CNH Industrial for parts queries and order submissions, including order status, invoice and shipment inquiries, promotions, backorder cancellations, buyback management, and parts availability. A valid CSPS username and password are required to license and use feature 6250.
eWarranty Credentials for the CNH eWarranty interfaces, which are licensed and configured separately as eWarranty Claim Submission and eWarranty Vehicle Lookup. The Claim Submission credentials authorize IntelliDealer to submit warranty claims to CNH for processing. The Vehicle Lookup credentials authorize PIP (Product Improvement Program) and PPP (Purchased Protection Plan) searches by machine serial number (and optionally Engine, Transmission, or Sound Guard serial numbers). If both interfaces are licensed, the same credentials can typically be used. See CNH DEP eWarranty Vehicle Lookup for details.

Creating Credentials

Use this procedure to add CNH credentials for an interface that is not yet listed on the Credentials screen. To change credentials for an interface that is already configured, see Editing Credentials. Each CNH interface supports one credential row.

To create credentials:

  1. On the Credentials screen, click Create. The New window opens.

  2. Enter values in the fields described below.

  3. Click Save & Close or Save & New.

The fields on the New window are:

Field Description
Interface The CNH interface to configure. Select a value from the drop-down: DEP, CSPS, eWarranty, or eQuipment. This field is required. After you save the credentials, the interface cannot be changed; click the row in the list to edit the User ID, Password, and Subscription Key for that interface. See CNH Interfaces for a description of each interface.
User ID The dealer-specific user identifier issued by CNH for the selected interface. This field is required.
Password The password paired with the User ID for the selected interface. This field is required. The password is masked on entry. Click the eye icon beside the field to show or hide the value.
Subscription Key The API subscription key issued by CNH for the DEP interface. This field appears only when DEP is selected in the Interface drop-down. Enter the subscription key CNH provided during DEP onboarding so IntelliDealer can call the DEP API endpoints.

Use these buttons to complete your work on the New window:

Button Description
Save & Close Saves the credentials and closes the New window. The interface appears in the credentials list.
Save & New Saves the credentials and clears the New window so you can enter credentials for another CNH interface.
Close Closes the New window without saving and returns to the Credentials screen.

Editing Credentials

Click a row on the Credentials screen to open the credentials window for that interface. The Interface field is read-only. Update the User ID, Password, or Subscription Key as needed, then click Save.

Note:  You can view the Password value only when you are the IntelliDealer user who last saved or generated the password for that interface. The Password Updated By column on the credentials list identifies that user. If you are not authorized to view the password, an error message directs you to contact the listed user.

Use these buttons to complete your work on the credentials window:

Button Description
Save Saves your changes and keeps the credentials window open.
Save & Previous Saves your changes and opens the previous interface in the credentials list.
Save & Next Saves your changes and opens the next interface in the credentials list.
Generate New Password Requests a new password from CNH for the open interface and saves it automatically. Use this button when the CNH password has expired or you need to refresh credentials for DEP, CSPS, eWarranty, or eQuipment. When the request succeeds, Successfully generated and updated password. appears at the top of the screen and the credentials list refreshes. A nightly task also generates new passwords automatically when they are about to expire on CNH's system. If CNH cannot generate a password, an error message instructs you to reset the password in the CNH portal and update the credentials on this screen.
Delete Removes the stored credentials for the selected interface.
Close Closes the credentials window and returns to the Credentials screen.
