Base Profile
Use the Base Profile screen to view or update the selected base profile and view its associated options.
To open the Base Profile screen, hover over a Base Number on the Base & Options screen and select Edit from the pop-up menu.
Base Profile screen
The fields on the Base Profile screen are:

| Base Number |
The base number code for the equipment unit. Within the system, the equipment unit is defined by the Base Number and Options Numbers. |
| Description | A brief description of the unit associated with this base code. |
| Make |
The make code assigned to the corresponding base code. Units with the same make and model code pull pricing information off the corresponding base code. |
| Model |
The model code assigned to the corresponding base code. |
| Group | The unit's group code classifies the unit within the system. |
| Price |
Retail price for the base code. The price field is optional for miscellaneous base codes. |
| Cost | The cost of the unit. |
| Class | The unit's class code used for classifying the unit within the system, based on the class code where the unit was manufactured. |
| Added | The date the base number was first added to the system. |
| Modified | The date the base number was last modified. |
| Miscellaneous |
Indicates whether the base code is a miscellaneous base code. Miscellaneous base codes allow the user to override the make, model, description, and price fields. Miscellaneous base codes are primarily used when adding used equipment units into the system. However, Miscellaneous base codes can also be used when adding attachments to new units. |
| Active for Build | Indicates whether the base code can be used when building a unit using the Build Unit link on the Details tab of an equipment quote. |
| Active for Equipment | Indicates whether the base code is active for use in the equipment system. |
| AvaTax Product Code | Identifies the type of item being sold. |
Click Update/View Profile button to open the Base tab.
Click the Multimedia button to open the Multimedia screen. If there is no multimedia associated with the Base Profile, then this button is not displayed.
The Options section of the Base Profile screen displays the options associated with the selected base number.
The fields in the Options section of the Base Profile screen are:

| Active | Indicates whether the option code is active for use in the equipment system. |
