Category Class Profile: Rental Alternates Tab
Use the Rental alternates tab to define alternate category, class, and subclass combinations for the selected profile. An alternate is a category, class, and subclass similar to the one a customer is requesting. Alternates act as substitutes when no machines are currently available in the primary category, class, and subclass. See Alternates in the Glossary.
To open the Rental alternates tab, navigate to Configuration > Rental > Category Class Subclass Setup, open a category, class, and subclass record from the list, and select Rental alternates.
The fields on the Rental alternates tab are:

| Category | The alternate rental category code. Search for an existing category or enter a category directly. |
| Class | The alternate rental class code. |
| Subclass | The alternate rental subclass code. |
Each alternate must reference an existing, active category, class, and subclass defined on the Category Class Subclass Setup screen. You cannot enter the same category, class, and subclass as the profile you are editing.
Click Add rows to add blank rows to the list. Click Delete rows to remove the selected rows.
Click Save to save changes on the Rental alternates tab.
Click Back to return to the Category Class Subclass Setup list.
