Users can now search for parts based on the cross reference part number and extended parts description.
1. Ability to search on and display Cross Reference Part Number
- To activate this feature, answer Y to a new switch in table CMBR5:
- In the example below, the user searched for “PMLF675” in the Select Part Number field. When the user hovers over one of the part numbers, the cross reference parts loaded for that part will display.
2. Ability to search on and display Extended Part Description
- The Select Description now also searches the part extended description field. Using the example below, if the user searches on “restriction” all parts with restriction in the either the description or extended part description appear.
- Hover over the new ‘+’ sign to the right of the part number field and the long description will appear. In the example below, hover over AT178542 and the Long Description “Air Restriction Sensor” appears.
- Hover over the next part, without having to click on Close button, and the Long Description for it – “Air Restriction Indicator” - automatically appears.
3. The cross reference description was added to the cross reference pop up across the system including Parts Invoicing, Equipment Quoting/Invoicing, Parts Quoting, W/O Quoting & Rental Counter.
