Used Evaluations: General
Use the General tab to create a used equipment evaluation and record various information (sales values and general comments) for the piece of equipment being evaluated/inspected. The General tab can be used to perform both used evaluations as well as inspections.
To open the General tab, click an Evaluation Number on the Inspections screen.
The fields appear on the General tab are:

Field | Description |
Evaluation Number | The used evaluation number. |
Location | The location where the evaluation occurred. |
Created By | The user that created the evaluation. |
Customer | The customer's name. |
Stock Number |
The stock number and brief description, followed by the unit Serial Number, Make, Model, and Year. If the unit is a John Deere, the serial number will be hyperlinked and will take you to John Deere's web site, where you can access information about the unit, such as warranty information. |
Publish | Select the checkbox to mark this evaluation for synchronization with Mobile Inspection. |
Type | Indicates whether the evaluation is for a prospective deal or an inspection only. |
Accessibility | The accessibility conditions on the inspection. |
Personally Inspect | Confirm whether you personally inspected the unit being evaluated. |
Personally Operate | Confirm whether you personally operated the unit being evaluated. |
Hour Meter Works | Confirm whether the hours meter works. |
Original Meter | Confirm whether the unit contains its original meter. |
Hour Meter |
Enter the hour meter reading on the unit at the time of evaluation. This field only appears for units that have at least one hour meter, as specified by the group code assigned to the unit. See the Group Code screen help topic for more information. |
Reference Hours | If the machine had its hour meter replaced, the reference hours could represent the first hour meter reading when it was exchanged. |
Last Synchronization | This field displays the date and time that this evaluation was last synchronized with Mobile Inspection. |
The evaluation statuses are:
Status | Description |
---|---|
Pending Request | The used evaluation has been created but not yet submitted to either management or service. |
Submitted Request | The used evaluation has been submitted to management for review but has not yet been picked up by a manager. The salesperson can still go in and make modifications and/or undo the submitted request returning the evaluation back to pending status. |
Service Request | The used evaluation has been submitted to service for inspection. The evaluation can be edited but cannot be forwarded to the next stage until service has completed the inspection and sent it back. |
Being Inspected by Service | A service representative has picked up the evaluation and is in the process of performing the inspection. |
Request Being Evaluated | A manager has picked up the evaluation in order to perform their evaluation. |
Accepted Request | The manager has accepted the request. At this point the salesperson can place the evaluation into history or resubmit it. |
Rejected Request | The manager has rejected the request. At this point the salesperson can resubmit or delete the evaluation. |
Pending Request | An Inspection only has been created but not yet place into history. |
Click on the Customer name to access the Customer Profile screen.
Click on the Stock Number to access the Equipment Profile screen.
Click on the Access evaluation history link to access the evaluation history of the unit.
The fields in the Sales/Managers Values section of the General - Inspections tab are:

Advertised Price |
The unit's advertised price. The used equipment manager's value for the evaluated unit's advertised price. |
Cash Price |
The unit's cash value. The used equipment manager's value for the evaluated unit's cash value. |
Est. Margin % or Dollars |
The unit's estimated profit margin percentage or margin dollar value. The used equipment manager's estimated profit margin % or dollar value for the evaluated unit. Note: Once an Estimated Margin % is entered and the screen is Saved, a Dollar value reflecting the estimated margin % will be loaded. |
Est. Recondition |
The estimated recondition cost for the unit. The used equipment manager's estimated recondition cost for the evaluated unit. Note: The Estimated Recondition value is pulled from the Inspection tab and is based on the Sales Estimate field totals. |
Reserve % or Dollars |
The reserve percentage applied to the unit. The used equipment manager's reserve percentage value for the evaluated unit. The reserve % defaults the value loaded on the CMBR4 table. This value is calculated by Cash Price - Margin Dollars x a reserved %. The reserve % can also be manually entered. |
Estimated NBV |
The unit estimated net book value. The used equipment manager's estimated net book value for the evaluated unit. The Estimated NBV is calculated as: Cash Price - Margin Dollars - Estimated Reconditioning - Reserve. |
Note: Previous values is shown if the inspection has been resubmitted * (R) for evaluation.
The fields on the General - Inspections tab are:

Field | Description |
User | The name of the user making a comment about the equipment or evaluation. |
Date | The date the comment was entered. |
Comment | The user's specific comments regarding the equipment or evaluation. |
Select the Click here to add a comment link to add a comment to the used evaluation.
Select the Click here to access submission history link to access the submission history on the unit.
Use these buttons to complete your work on the General - Inspections tab (the available buttons are dependent on your role):
Button | Function |

History | Submits the used evaluation to history. |
Print/Save to Multimedia |
Saves the current evaluation. The user can optionally save either the general, features, or inspection section of the evaluation. These selections are saved to the unit's Multimedia tab in the Equipment Profile screen. |
Close | Closes the General - Inspections tab and returns to the Inspections screen. |
