John Deere: DTF

Use the John Deere DTF screen to transmit or receive data and to configure the email address that receives price update confirmation emails from the John Deere Data Transfer Facility (DTF) after it has successfully transmitted parts price updates.

The John Deere DTF (Data Transfer Facility) is a communication protocol used by John Deere to send and receive files. DTF files can include price files, parts equipment orders, and other pieces of data. New parts in JD Prism data feeds are automatically added to the IntelliDealer PARTMAST file for relevant locations. An IntelliDealer scheduler job manages the generation and transmission of the JD Prism inventory file using the IntelliDealer DPMSCHED file.

To access the John Deere DTF screen, navigate to Configuration > Interfaces > John Deere > DTF.

Data Flows

Troubleshooting

Verify data transmission by checking Job Logs. All logs and error messages related to parts inventory file generation and transmission are recorded in the job history screen.

  • If the file is successfully generated, the message “Successfully generated Parts Inventory File to Transmit” appears.

  • IntelliDealer records errors that occur during file generation to the DTFLOG file, which you can access from the View Logs screen.

If Prism files are not sent as expected:

  • Verify that the “Use New Prism Transmit Process” flag is enabled.

  • Review the logs for error messages or confirmation of successful file generation.

  • If files are missing or not transmitted, check for any system/network issues that may have prevented file transfer.
