To open the Description tab, move the cursor over a Reference Number on the Parts Quoting screen and select View/Edit from the drop down list.

The Description tab allows you to input a description of the parts quote which can be printed as part of the physical quote.

The following Information fields appear on the Description tab:

Information
Field	Description
Reference Number	The parts invoicing number.
Customer	The name of the customer associated with the quote.
Status	The current status of the quote.
Location	The location where the quote was created

The following field appears on the Description tab:

Field	Description
Description	A brief description of the quote or estimate.

Note:  You can use the Search icon to import predefined text messages. Promotional codes are set up in the configuration/global settings/promotion codes.

The following buttons allow you to complete your work on the Description tab:

Button	Function
Save	Saves changes made on the Description screen.
Save & Close	Saves changes made on the Description tab and exits to the Quote Selection screen.
Close	Closes the Description tab and returns to the Parts Quoting screen.
Delete	Deletes the selected quote segment (only available if the segment is not the primary segment).
