Description

Use the Description tab to input a description of the parts quote which can be printed as part of the physical quote.

To open the Description tab, hover over a Reference Number on the Parts Quoting screen and select View/Edit from the drop down list.

Information fields on the Description tab are:

Field Description
Reference Number The parts invoicing number.
Customer The name of the customer associated with the quote.
Status The current status of the quote.
Location The location where the quote was created.

Field on the Description tab is:

Description A brief description of the quote or estimate.

Note:  You can use the Search icon to import predefined text messages. Promotional codes are set up in the configuration/global settings/promotion codes.

Use these buttons to complete your work on the Description tab:

  • Click Save to save changes made on the Description screen.

  • Click Save & Close to save changes made on the Description tab and exit to the Quote Selection screen.

  • Click Close to close the Description tab and return to the Parts Quoting screen.

  • Click Delete to delete the selected quote segment (only available if the segment is not the primary segment).
