Related Parts

The Related Parts tab can be accessed from the Parts Profile screen by clicking on the Update/View Profile link.

The Related Parts tab allows you to add or modify related parts on a part's profile.

A related part is a part that is related or attached to another part or parent part. The related part can be imported when the parent part number is entered onto a parts invoice or requisition.

The following is a description of the Information fields that appears on the Related Parts tab:

Information
Field Description
Part Number The selected part number, whose related parts you are editing.
Description A brief description of the part number.
Location The branch location where the part is located.

The following is a description of the fields that appear on the Related Parts tab:

Field Description
Part Number The related part number.
Quantity The number of related parts you wish to sell.
Pricing Override Percentage The percentage you wish to override the current pricing of the related part.
Optional

Indicates whether or not the related part is optional or mandatory when selling a parent part to a sales order.

Yes: The part is optional and can be added to an invoice.

No: The part is mandatory and must be added to an invoice.

Comment Attach a brief comment regarding the related part.
All Locations

Whether or not the related part is sold with the same parameters at all locations, when the parent part is sold.

Yes: The part is sold with the same parameters (e.g. override percentage) at all locations.

No: The parameters setup for the related part are specific to this location.

Note:  
Related parts that are selected for a single location have order priority over parts selected for all locations.

Click on a Part Number to open theRelated Part screen.

Select the Click here to add a related part link to add a related part to the list.

The following button allows you to complete your work on the Related Parts tab:

Button Function
Close Closes the Related Parts tab and returns to the Parts Profile screen.
