Data Miner Security - Add or Edit Authorization
You can use the Add/Edit Authorization screen to set up data miner file security for all users or a single user, and to edit existing user authorization on a data miner file. The system checks an individual user ID first, then the user group, and finally All Users to define what security/authorization applies to the files within the data miner application.
To open the Add/Edit Authorization screen, click a User name or the Need to create a new authorization? Click here to add link on the Data Miner Security tab.
The following fields appear on the Add/Edit Authorization screen:
| Field | Description |

| User/Group | The ID of the user or group you wish to apply authorization to a file within the data miner application, either allowing user access to the file of preventing the user access to the file. |
| All Users |
If selected, applies the data miner file authorization to all users. This field appears only by accessing the Add/Edit Authorization screen by clicking on the Need to create a new authorization? Click here to add link. |
| File | The file within the data miner application that is affected by the authorization applied. |
| Authorized |
Indicates the authorization type applied to the selected file within the data miner application. One of:

Use these buttons to complete your work on the Add/Edit Authorization screen:
| Button | Function |
|---|---|
| Save | Saves changes made to the Add/Edit Authorization screen. |
| Copy |
Copies the selected data miner file authorization. This field appears only when accessing the Add/Edit Authorization screen by clicking on a User. |
| Save & New |
Saves a newly added data miner file authorization and refreshes the Add/Edit Authorization screen, allowing you to add another data miner file authorization without closing the screen. This field appears only when accessing the Add/Edit Authorization screen by clicking the Need to create a new authorization? Click here to add link. |
| Save & Next |
Allows you to save any edits made to the selected data miner file authorization and scroll through to the next data miner authorization in the list to apply any edits. This field appears only when accessing the Add/Edit Authorization screen by clicking on a User. |
| Delete |
Deletes the selected data miner file authorization from the list on the Add/Edit Authorization screen. This field appears only when accessing the Add/Edit Authorization screen by clicking on a User. |
| Close | Closes the Add/Edit Authorization screen without saving and returns to the Data Miner Security tab. |
